Elmwood and Pinewood Cemetery has been the location to many occurring crimes. Many
of these crimes have gone unsolved by authorities. We hold our city officials responsible.

One of the most alarming is a murder victim found at the front area of Elmwood Cemetery.
The police claim to patrol Elmwood and Pinewood but seem they have not been able to
do anything to prevent or solve these crimes.

The rise of vandalism of both cemeteries has consisted of statues on burial plots broken;
some beheaded, various headstones broken, and some bashed into pieces.  Even
monuments have had pieces chipped that have lead to further cracking. The city and
cemetery officials claim Perpetual Care? This is an outraged and needs to stop!

Our cemeteries been allowed to become a haven for the homeless, assaults at times
and gang activity. City officials have not taken a more productive stand help protect and
maintain Elmwood and Pinewood Cemetery. We trust that this will change, so Elmwood
and Pinewood Cemetery will become a safe haven, not a crime fest.

Still, Mayor Pat McCrory has not taken any action help end these problems!
